Today I will be reviewing the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Pure Reds Star Collection lipstick in the shade Pure Brick by Aishwarya Rai. The Pure Reds Star Collection have 7 exquisite matte shades chosen by 7 L’Oreal Paris ambassadors. Pure Brick is one of those reds that’s got the vintage vibe that once graced the 70’s pouts. Those were the times of understated Reds…Reds with a brown base that was deep & that’s Pure Brick is all about. This shade is contrary to all those Reds that are bright & beautiful but not for occasions when you wanna be formal & elegant. Also, because of it’s brown undertones, it does not clash with warm skin-tones and that’s what makes it a universal flattering shade. So, let’s get started

How to Use L’Oreal Pure Brick Color Riche Pure Reds Star Collection Lipstick

  • First and foremost, apply lip liner to accentuate the shape of your lips.
  • Afterwards, apply Color Riche Pure Red starting from the cupid’s bow to the corners of your lip for glorious red lips.

Ingredients-

Jojoba oils, velvet spheres, jojoba oils and pure pigments.

My Experience with L’Oreal’s Star Collection Lipstick by Aishwarya Rai in shade Pure Brick –

This lipstick comes in a black color plastic container with the shade name mentioned on the bottom of the container. The shade color is shown in square shaped in middle of container where the cap gets open which makes easy to recognize the shade. The packaging is very chic, sturdy and classy, it also has the signature of the ambassador printed on top of it. The grip of cap is tight which makes it a travel friendly product.

When you open the cap and twist the container the beautiful brick shade comes out which is super sexy and bold to stare. The texture of the lipstick is super smooth, soft and velvety. I truly adore red lipsticks, it just brightens up your face and I am absolutely in love with this shade of lipstick. In-spite of being matte the lipstick glides smoothly on lips. It is so pigmented that a single stroke is sufficient and if you want to go for more dramatic or bold look then apply it twice on lips. Also, I felt that this lipstick transfers it color on glass and cheek (so be careful) 😉

The product claims that it stays for 6 hours on lips and yes bang on they are true on it. My lipstick stayed for complete 4 hours as it is and then slowly started fading out leaving slight tint on lips which does not look bad and gives you light red rosy color which more stays for 3 hours. In-spite being so long on my lips it did not dry out my lips neither made it dehydrated. This lipstick will suit all Indian skin tones, it will go on well from fairer to dusky skin tones as well. The only thing is that they will feather a bit from the outer edges that you can prevent by using a lip liner. I love the long stay, the finish, the pigmentation.

Single Stroke applied

Overall, I really loved this dark brown red vintage shade. It goes on each occasion and even I have worn this shade in my office on daily basis. It’s been a year I am using this shade and my love for this has increased after each application. This shade is so subtle, sexy and bold but does not make you appear vulgar at the same time. It’s creamy texture makes lip appear full and sensuous. Use of lip liner will add grace to this shade. Though its pricey but product justify to it.

Tip- As it is having super pigmentation make sure to scrub your lips properly and apply lip balm before applying this lipstick for getting even look. If you have chapped lips, then this shade would look unpleasant on lips and make you appear terrific. So, please ladies prep your lips before applying any pigmented lipstick. It is also preferable to use a lip liner before using the lipstick as it gives a good finish
