Hey my dolls, I am so excited to review my next post on Nailpaint after such a long period. Its been a year I have been using this shade and its one of my favourite. During my stay in India I have purchased Maybelline Super stay 7 days Gel nail color in shade Midnight Red (287) with some other cosmetic stuff too. Inspite of having so many shades I had a love at first sight with this beauty, it’s such an amazing wear. As we all know last year entire world was painted with trendy gel and metallic nail color. Every brand was coming up with different shades of gel and metallic range to be chosen from. So, without wasting any time let’s get straight to product review tour. Happy reading girls.

My Experience with Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Color–

This beauty comes in glass shaped square bottle with slightly curves given on the edges inside which make it appear classy and trendy. The glass has same shade of nailpaint inside which makes life easy to choose from such a wide range i.e. from bold to dark to sober shades. Overall, I really liked the packaging of product which is sturdy and glass used here is solid even if you drop the bottle it won’t break (:D)

The texture and consistency of product is good as it stays on the brush for few sec. Even I liked the bristle of brush which is quite nicely trimmed and helps in smooth application of product plus they hold the product nicely for few sec. When I applied the product on nail, I observed that it is quite shiny and glossy also highly pigmented. The application is very smooth and even; brush spread the product evenly covering every corner of nail which is really satisfying and I have hardly messed up with the paint.

When I have applied the first coat on my nail it has dried up quickly which made easier for me to apply 2^nd coat. Thou midnight red is a bold color but I really like applying 2 coats on my nail just to build up that intensity of product. It took 1-2 minutes completely to dry up the product and dhantedannnnnn…. your nails are ready to show them off.

As the range claims that product stays upto 7 days well in my case it stayed upto 4 days with little loss in shine which I have noticed from 3^rd day itself. Also, this fact can’t be ignored as I have to do certain household chores which makes me to dip my hand more often in water resulting for some flakes and loosing shine of color. From 5^th day I detected that there is slight clipping on each nail and till 7^th day I had to remove the paint completely as it has lost its shine and have even started looking more darker and duller coz of its bold color. If I would not have removed the paint which is another major task maybe it would have stayed max 8-9 days. May be ladies who have less household work to do or a college going girl, can expect more better returns than me.

Overall, I really liked this nailpaint and its worth the amount. Specially the color I have choosed is more of a bold color and I really liked the way it turned out after 2 coats. Also, it looks very stunning during winters but I would like to wear it entire year. For me the one thing that stood out the most was the longevity aspect, I was so super impressed by this. Only the minus point I felt was after 7 days the paint losses its shine and becomes dull and it really don’t look good if you are wearing any dark or bold shades on your nail. Considering the amount spent and its durability it’s a go from my end.

Cons-

• Clippling starts onward 5^th day so not on what they claim
• Gel like finish and shine is completely lost after 7 days which really make it appear dull
• Removing a paint is a major task specially if you are wearing bold colors
• Slight yellowish nail after removing paint

Will I buy this product again?

No.
