Being a new mom, its difficult to go out in this pandemic environment so I have started shaping my eyebrows at home itself to keep myself and the infant away from the risk and all i have to rely lately is on eyebrow pencil. The best thing I like about the eyebrow filling is, just few strokes of the pencil change the entire equation of the face as if I have freshly got my eyebrows done. Sharp and crisp. 😉 On that note, today I will be reviewing eyebrow pencil form Nykaa Brow Chika Wow Eyebrow Pencil in shade Coven Cocoa 01, which is the only shade they have launched. So lets dive in to the product.

My experience with the product-
The product comes in the classic Nykaa signature reddish pink coloured box packaging with all the details mentioned on it. The pencil comes in a dark brown wooden build which gives a nice grip. The pencil has Spoolie attached to it with transparent cap on another end which makes the product complete and travel friendly. The tip of the pencil is secured by brown plastic cap which is tight enough to secure the product by getting cluttered.
Texture of the product is soft and creamy once it is warmed up and glides smoothly. The consistency is thick so a light handed is must. The colour pay of is amazing and can be seen in a single stroke. Single stroke is sufficient to filling and shape the eyebrow plus it is buildable.
The application of product is very easy and blendable. The Deep brown color is suitable for ladies having dark brown or black eyebrows. I have medium brown eyebrow and the pencil goes well on it. I use light hand while filling my brows so that if needed I can build it. On the other hand, spoolie helps me to comb the hair and shape the brow in a proper manner. In addition to this, it also helps me to blend the colour in the eyebrows making it appear more natural.
Brand claims that product is smudge free, but it does smudges in humidity or hot climate. I mean the entire eyebrow fill is transferred to tissue which is horrible. The staying power is 6 hours. The pencil is not waterproof so expect the smudging. I wish they would have provided more shades in this range. They have come up in more shade but in different range. Every time, I have to sharpen the pencil to get the perfect tips for the strokes which leads to lot of wastage of product.
Overall, I am neutral with this product. The price does not justify the quality of pencil. Even the ingredient list looks incomplete. They have claimed product is dermatologically tested but it is approved or not no facts on it. Putting extra pressure on hand while doing eyebrows can land you in soup as it will make your eyebrow appear pretty dark so be careful while shaping the brows. There are many product in the market with better quality and pricing.
