MAC MINERALIZE BLUSH IN SHADE LOVE JOY- Review

I got the MAC mineralize blush in Shade Love joy last year finally in my vanity box. It has been a long time since I wanted to try their baked blush and have always craved it. I do have a medium warm skin tone with a golden undertone. So here is my honest review of this product-

Direction to use- Apply desired amount of product using the appropriate brush (e.g. 129S Brush) and blend evenly

My experience with the product–

I loved the compact packaging of the product with a transparent lid on top which helps to identify the blush shade easily and also makes it travel friendly. It has earthy/ coral tones which are suitable for the medium warm skin tone.

The texture is smooth and the shimmers are not too glittery or chunky; they are just subtle enough to give that natural glowing cheeks. It’s a lightweight blush that glides smoothly on the skin and is easily blendable. It has a light coverage which is buildable layer upon layer. The color payoff is amazing and can be seen in a single swipe. The staying power works best with the setting spray which lasts up to 6-7 hours and then starts fading. I don’t remember that I have ever done any touchups are setting my makeup completely.

 

The shimmers in the blush give the natural sheen to the cheekbones as if one is wearing a highlighter. This is perfect for office wear as it’s very subtle in color and gives the cheek a nice luminous radiant look. For the night look, I go heavy with the blush as it gives me a chiseled radiant cheekbone. The shimmer does fall while picking the product on the brush plus during the application which can mess with the rest of the face with all the glitters sticking around make sure you always remove the excess product before application.

Overall, I like this product and I wear it every day in the office. The shade has earthy tones which give a natural looking radiant look without looking glittery or chunky on my face. The staying power and color payoff are nice. Just be careful while applying the blush on your face as the shimmers fall all over the face so it’s suggestable to remove the excess product from the brush.
